Around 11/26ish
[So, crapshoot. He hoped that Jack didn't get weird about his safety after this, though, it would make it a lot harder to go out with Majima.]
[Tim opened the door in the afternoon and walked inside. Amazing how much you took having arms and hands for granted until you didn't anymore.]
Uh... Jack? Are you home?
no subject
[Jack is indeed home. And he has noticed the lack of his roommate, once he got back home. He'd spent a good chunk of time barricaded in his lab with Lu. Which he still thinks was the best plan, with everything he's heard since coming back. But the lack of Tim has been weird.]
[He jumps up from the couch when Tim comes in, thumping loudly as his feet hit the floor.]
Did you die?
no subject
Uh, no, but you're not super far off?
[He probably should've been dead! But he wasn't allowed to have the sweet release of death after his stay at Poacher Hotel, he got to live through the awful, gory aftermath.]
I, um... the poachers got to me.
no subject
[Mentally Jack pulls a face at the thought. Whatever his roomie had gone through, he knows it was awful and gross and he probably doesn't want to hear the details. Sucks to be Tim!]
Ya look fine now, though....?
[As far as Jack can tell, anyway. All parts appear to be present.]
no subject
[Which was good, but also everything came back in the worst possible way, so it was also bad. Just like everything on this stupid monster peninsula, whenever you thought you got something good, it had to find some way to be shitty, too.]
I guess you made it through okay? Things got kinda dicey.
[Understatement of the year award goes to Tim.]
no subject
[It's as much sympathy as he's getting from Jack, but it's still more than most people would get.]
Yeah, I grabbed my girlfriend and we barricaded ourselves in my lab. After we each made sure we were who we looked like and everything. Couldn't trust anybody...
[As though he's a trusting person in the first place. But at least you could usually assume somebody was who they looked like.]
no subject
[Did he have an unhealthy relationship with alcohol? Probably. But he also got his arms cut off and kidneys taken out by poachers, so like, fuck it. His beef liver could probably take it, and it wasn't like he needed to drink much anymore.]
[Tim went into the kitchen to get himself a drink. Might as well fill Jack in on everything that went down during the Bad Times at the Poacher Hotel.]
That wasn't a bad idea? [Seriously, if Tim had known that he would get bull-napped, he would've gone to ground, too.] The, the poachers got a lot of people. Nobody's really sure why they decided to amp things up this quick, but, uh. There was a note they left behind, in code? It had an address and a date in February on it.

[He goes back to the couch, satisfied that his roommate isn't in one of those states where he needs comfort or attention. Jack hates those.]
But yeah, okay, that sounds normal. What, do they have some quota to make? Must collect this many monster parts before the new year? You better not get nabbed again, I'm gonna be pissed if you do.
[Old Timmy here's all Jack's really got left from home. And sure, the guy technically doesn't work for him anymore, but he still feels a certain sort of...he likes to think of it as responsibility when it comes to his former doppelganger. All that money he'd put into him, all the time, the dude is literally made in his image. Most people would use the term 'ownership', but Jack sees the world how Jack sees the world.]
